Подставка работает и от компьютера, и от внешнего аккумулятора, и от зарядок для телефона. Нагревается центральная часть круга. Если просто держать подставку в руке, то она горячая, но не обжигает. А, если на неё немного нажать рукой, то держать почти невозможно, сильно жжёт. Сторона с рисунком греется меньше из-за толщины силикона и приклеенной к нему картинке. Поэтому для поддержания тепла в напитке, лучше ставить чашку на сторону без рисунка.
